I meant your odd comment on her intent in using the word migrate; "Don't you mean immigrate? " Come on JD, stay with my joke man!

Well she should have still have said that LT wishes to immigrate to New Zealand.

I'm sure LT will link up with BoP and they could all talk about how evil and unfair the world is.

No, no my friend. She *could* have used immigrate, but she didn't have to.

miĀ·grate [ m grĆ*yt ] (past miĀ·gratĀ·ed, past participle miĀ·gratĀ·ed, present participle miĀ·gratĀ·ing, 3rd person present singular miĀ·grates)
verb

1. intransitive verb, social sciences, move from place to place: to move from one region or country to another, often to seek work or other economic opportunities

I perfectly understand - just that migrate in the US generally is used for animals or mass migrations. People immigrate or emigrate. Just sounds weird to have LT migrate to New Zealand. It sounds like she'll be flying there for the winter - making a nest - laying some eggs and then flying back for the summer.

"Well thank you for the advise. I'll take it up if I ever feel the same way. I seriously doubt it since it seems like I'm not the one with the problem. Just a quesion, have you looked in the mirror lately?"

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what you mean, LT...

"Hey - no one is keeping you on entmoot."

I believe she meant "out of America", not "out of the Entmoot."

"Jersey, a question: if she does genuinely have a depression problem, do you think that that post of yours just helped?"

Yes, I agree with Sheeana. If you genuinely believe that she may have such a problem, I would think the best thing to do would be to try to help her, or at the least to avoid her, rather than inciting her. Of course, while I say this, I do agree with you, overall. I just think that if you suspect such a problem, maybe it wouldn't be best to respond in such a manner. I agree that it doesn't give her the right, but I think that people with such problems are often not in their right minds, and not too rational, and should be treated in a manner which takes this into account.

But then, I'm dimwitted.

By this, I thought you meant right-wing little ladies who live on farm; now that I know what you do mean, (wife-beaters) I agree with you; such a thing I deem worthy of the term "moron"; though "bastard" is better. There are better ones yet, but I don't think they allow them here.

Quote:
i don't act like this unless provoked.
Not meaning ANY disrespect to your person, Luthien, but that hasn't really been my experience of you; of course, I could easily just not have appropriate experience, but you seem to me a bit aggressive.

Of course, I know I've certainly been aggressive my fair share of times.

I must say, this gave me a laugh. I've heard that before!

JD: Not meaning any disrespect to yourself, either, but I have noticed that you do seem to be rather harsh on Sheeana, and it sometimes seems you presume to worst about her. Now, I think you're a great guy, and am very glad to have known you for these months on the 'moot, but I have gotten that impression.

Although I wonder if I might fit as a "lightweight moron"...

Thanks Gwaimir, and Olsonm. Nice to see that not everyone thinks the worst of me. Oh, and "migrate" is a perfectly legit word to use in that instance. The dictionary definition just gives it as moving geographically from one place to another - there's no guarantee that LT would want to, "to enter and usually become established" (dictionary def. of "immigrate") Furthermore, the word immigrate comes from, in- + migrare which means, "to migrate." Can we stop beating the poor dead horse now?

I like horses. Why are you picking on the poor horse? It's already dead.

Seriously, Ms. Pants, you're one of my all-time favourite mooters; top ten easily, and in a nice position of the ten. I felt that you were in the right, and said so. There's really nothing to thank about.

(BTW, I love you're new sig)

I don't necessarily think the worst of you. Actually I like you MOST of the time - just the American crap makes me suspicious. Too many times in the past where it's been posted that we were/are the cause of all that is wrong in the world.

And I'm sorry about saying Greenpeace is a bunch of morons - even if I don't agree with a lot of what they do or how they act. I do however think that the Green Party is a bunch of communist bastards.

Well can't we just kill the horse?

LT - by the way - I love your homepage.... http://www.f*cknewjersey.com - I took out the "u" but I'm sure everyone could tell what it is anyway. When you get the real site up about how much you hate me - can you let me know? It's especially funnny because we've never once talked - so the only thing I can think is that you hate my posts or you hate my beliefs. You don't even know me. One day you'll get over it and see how stupid it is.

Hmm...forgot about that... Does that automatically transfer you to "Number One"?

Indeed. You have a habit for finding great lines. (Two....two bananas...)

I don't really think so, JD. I just disagree with you in this instance.

Because it's not really brown nosing. It's having switching loyalties and since GW was talking to me on AIM at the same time he posted these remarks - without ever mentioning them - sycophant matches the best. Brown nosing anyway is when you kiss up to an admin or mod.

That's not sycophant. Sycophant would be if I switched allegiance in the middle of something (like the Mud Wrestling ). The fact that I think BoP to be in the right does not mean I like you less, or are "against" you. It merely means that I disagree with you here.

I didn't really think a disagreement like this was something that really was that important. I mean, it's not like we're in the trenches, and I tossed a few magazine clips over to the enemy. As far as I'm concerned, there is no enemy. There is only a community, members of which we am not always on the same page as (is that gramatically accurate? ); wouldn't you agree?
