I guess that we are more fanatic FanGIRLS. I have met no obsessed Moulin Rouge fanboy yet.

I wouldn't mind. And I guess the rest of the fangirls would welcome you as warm as I would.

I'll keep that in mind when I watch the film the next time and try to resist the temptation to sing along

Anyway...how about we go marching down the streets singing Moulin Rouge songs? ( or we don't and say we didn't...whatever floats your boat...)

I never sing in publis, NEVER. But I chose to pretend to sing with only my lips closing and opening. Might sound strange to you, but I probably looks even stranger.
But of course I do that with Moulin Rouge songs.

Musicals can be great, they can even be greater than Moulin Rouge.

Lady of Darkness, I just can't figure out what 'LoD' means...

I guess it means Lady Of Darkness (LoD).

I don't remember any musical greater than Moulin Rouge.

LoD means Lady of Darkness, eh? I should have figured that out immediately. Gosh, I feel stupid...

I saw the musicals 'The Phantom of the Opera' and 'Les Misérables' when I was in London. I think both of them was better than Moulin Rouge. Please don't think less of me for saying this in the Moulin Rouge thread.

I want to see 'Les Misérables'. I love the song "On my own". Maybe it isn't that bad. But I never really liked "Hair".
But I love "Tanz der Vampire" (aka Dance of the Vampire), it's gorgeous.
we would never think less of you

I was going to see a 'Hair' preformance once, but I got tired of it in just a few minutes. Thinking of it, there are many musicals that I dislike. Moulin Rouge is one of the few musicals that I find good.

This whole singing and dancing thing seems so un-natural to me. It just doesn't seem real to me. (That's what I appreciate at (?) Moulin Rouge, the songs fit into the conversations)

Doesn't the song fit into the conversations in other musicals, then? At least it did in 'Les Misérables'.
I really recommend 'Les Misérables', Victor Hugo was a genius (he didn't write the songs to the musical, but whatever). Too bad I was quite young when I saw it, I can't remember the musical clearly. I have to see it again some time.

When I mentioned The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables, I was thinking of the musicals that are performed in London. But there are movies too.
