The medals have just kept on coming. This has turned out to be Sweden's best Olympic games ever and there are still a few medals left for Sweden to fight for

As of today we have 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.

I have to say, our swedish brothers are doing quite a good game. But I don't think you should harass us, just beacuse we don't are as good as usuall.

Sweden and Finland will play in the ice hockey final! It can't get any better than that!

Yesterday I was watching the semifinals (Sweden - Czech Republic and Finland - Russia) with another Swede and two Finnish friends (plus an American friend). We all shouted out in joy when Sweden won their game with a vengeance. 7-3 against the Czechs is fantastic!
Later, we all shouted out in joy again when Finland beat Russia 4-0.

We will be watching the final together as well. Which will be very interesting since we're going to be two Swedes and two Finns in the same room. The American will have to make sure we don't start to fight

C'mon we're not harassing you. We would have loved to see you win more golds though

I watched part of the Russia-Finland game, enough to see Teemu Selanne's first goal. (Then I went out for churros and hot chocolate - couldn't pass that up!)

Finland whupped Russia! Four zip is awesome at this high level of play!

Canada got gold in men's curling and women's hockey! Isn't that Canadian!

Finland beat Russia and will battle Sweden for gold in men's hockey! Isn't that Finnish!

Finland played well but did not medal in women's hockey (they got 4th). Now is their chance to get a medal. Finland has never won gold in men's hockey, but Sweden did in 1994.

I can't pick either team, I love the Swedish and Finnish hockey teams so much! That is going to be some great hockey. Also, considering how awesome Finland has been playing in the Olympics, I feel a lot less bad that we got our butts kicked by them.

The gold medal men's hockey game is on at 4am our time.

I was tempted to stay up and watch it... but no. I need to fix my sleep schedule.

Austria swept men's slalom! Pretty impressive eh?

And in four-man bobsleigh, we got fourth. We were so close! Mere hundredths of a second...

The men's ice hockey final.
Sweden-Finland, 3-2.
Need I say more?

A very good game, Finland! Too bad we can't share the gold.

What a way for Sweden to end their best Olympics ever. The hockey gold medal was the finishing touch we were all dying to win.

It was an awesome game. It was the best hockey game I've ever seen!! And I've seen some great hockey.

I wrote about this at greater length here if anyone cares to read: Finland versus Sweden for Men's Hockey Gold!

Hockey is awesome. I'm glad I finally got to see an entire Olympic event.

I'm also done ranting about Don Cherry now. Really. *looks shifty*

Saw the Swedish men's and women's hockey teams in Stockholm today. Those medals are really, really shiny alright.

What did people think of the closing ceremonies? I liked them a lot, despite all the clowns . The theme of the ceremonies was "a child's dream" and yes, the childish touch was very prominent.

Well done on your personal best Sweden. Also nice work with kicking overall arse in hockey.

We also got a personal best, and did really well too! 24 medals over 10 disciplines is awesome. Germany got 29 medals in 7 events and the USA got 25 medals in 9 events.

We kick at winter sports! Woo!

I watched part of the closing ceremonies. They were very cool, nice work Italy! I had to leave to meet my friend right after the Canadian part started though. I did get to see our awesome mayor Sam Sullivan waving the Olympic flag, the really rad thing with the "ice", and I was excited to see Chief Gibby Jacob of the Squamish Nation there! Then I had to go though.

Apparently our part of the ceremony was criticised though. Anyone know why?

I loved the closing ceremonies, beautifully done. The music was a riot. YMCA, anyone?

Favorite element was the wind tunnel thing with the acrobats hovering. Never saw anything like that before.
