I think you forgot your apology at the end of this post! What a great idea Hector! Now none of JD's post will ever rub me the wrong way!

Sorry!

But, the 120 rule in the PM's is very annoying. But bearable.
true, why in the world should a mooter have to endure a minute and a half to send an important pm, and not a post?
when you pm, its not to spam, but posting?
Maybe I'll have them reverse it, 90 seconds for pms, and 120 for posts. or maybe I'll get them to cut the time down on both.
maybe each one should have 90 secs.

btw-the fun is over with ridiculing me. I want to have fun guys, but when you guys carry these prez jokes too far, its gets to be irritating. Tessar has already given me the whole nine yard today anyway. So enough already please.

At least Bill and Monica kept it behind closed doors for a while...

I'm interested in hearing your plan too, Hector. Should be stimulating.

Ok, my paln is to have a limit on how many words are typed in a post.
say...anything less than fifteen words in a post is not allowed, this will keep from one word spams, which have been turning up more and more these days (from me too, I admit ).
There are of course flaws to this idea, as several people have pointed out to me. Perhaps a thread like say..."Hobbit wheel of fortune" may only need a one word response. But I figure peopel will just have to adjust to it if it works out.
this will minimize a lot of spamming. not all, but alot of it.

But here you run into the problem of how to enforce it. I'm not sure if there's any way to configure vBulletin to do that. I know you can set a character limit and all that stuff, but I don't know about minimums.

I don't think we should try to change either of those rules. I think if we drop the 90 second rule, it'll be all the EASIER to spam. Just be thoughtful about what you write when you post.

I think the 15 character (EDIT: oh... 15 WORDS?? I thought Nurvi's original idea was 15 char min.) minimum would be a bigger nuisance than some might think. It would be a pain for any of the trivia threads. Also, it punishes succinct thinking. Besides, as I pointed out before, if someone just wanted to say "boo" - they would still just have to say "boo... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx", or whatever. Bad idea!

Wow!!! You mean I can spam freely and whenever I want???

COOL!!!

If I can't post without asking, but I can't PM you for permission to post/PM, how can I do anything?

Anyway, is it ok if I ask to PM Val about more food for dinner? His sweatshop workers aren't getting much. I'm real hungrrrry. Is that ok? Is it? I also want to PM people about making your presidency difficult for you. Can I do that too?

I don't feel like working anymore. What about you do it? We're sick of this ill-treatment! See, you people who voted for SGH- this is what would've happened to you! The Vice-Prez would have you all turned into sweatshop workers like me! Argh!
