Most impressive female character - Page 21

I didn't say that she was the most impressive female, but she was impressive in some way. She raised her children alone (okay, many females do that), she sent away her son for his own saftey (that must have been hard) and then she followed him, although it was dangerous. She searched for him and didn't want to stay resting in Doriath. I think the love for her children must have been very strong.

Yes. My heart always went out to her when I read the story, such a tragedy.

I wouldn't say she really was impressive. What did she do? She married Elrond and gave him three children. She was taken by Orcs and tomented, and then went across the sea. There's just not much to her character.

True, but there are only so many impressive female characters in the books, and I think they have probably all been covered.

I think Rose Cotton is an impressive female character

Not everyone could win the heart of Sam. I hope we get to see Rose in the RotK film.

Aw, will cute little Elanor be in the film? But she was born quite some time after the Ring was destroyed. Does that mean we'll get to see everything that happened at the end of RotK, like how Frodo and Bilbo sailed west from the Grey Havens?
