Yea I heard a few stories like that but nothing recently like that near here. Now if only we could get the soccer moms to shut up on the sidelines.

Theres mothing more annoying at a lacrosse game than having some banshee screaming the wrong terminology(sp) the entire game.

i find it funny when moms yell stuff that makes no sense. they have no clue it sounds stupid

All of these examples are horrifying. What troubles me most of all, though, is what sort of parents these messed-up kids will become? In fact, perhaps THEIR parents never had proper adult guidance, either. I am not making excuses for anyone, only suggesting how this sort of behaviour can be self-perpetuating.

I sort of disagree. My parents love me and care for me. They don't like me doing things I'm not supposed to do. Yeah, at sleepovers I stay up the whole night, and every once in a while I have a little fun, but it gets to the point where, enough is enough. Stripping? Heck yeah! I'd get suspended! And probably grounded for half a year! Parents know when enough is enough. I don't want to get too deep or get a bad reputation on here, so I'll shutup now. I guess you could call me a good student who does what she is supposed to do

Yeah, I remember that incident - that was both pathetic and tragic.

On a lighter note - my son's team won the all-star game, and he got picked to referee the second half of the coaches' game!

Parents are people, and of course, some are pathetic whiney jerks who would never admit in a hundred years that they, or their children could do anything wrong. Shameless stupidity, it is out there, and will rear it's head from time to time.....Best the locals can do is rub their (slacker parents) noses in it till it ( their dropping the ball on their responsibility to their children) sinks through their thick skulls.

Rian is right, this type of sucky parenting skill is often passed down from generation to generation. (IMO) Set a good example yourself, and hope it rubs off on as many people as possible! There is a current raging debate in our local paper (thru letters to the editor) about a repeatedly dissruptive student who was tied to his chair by a much loved, 20 year plus teacher. 90% of the letters are supporting the teacher....the parent, who is trying to sue for invisible twine marks (

) has been taken to task for not teaching her child to respect teachers and behave as a responsible person. I think the "fall out" will be on the school system for not having anything to offer the teacher who had to put up with dissruptive, insolent behavior for the entire year.

Yelling for my little darling at soccer, baseball, and basketball is truely one of the great joys of life!

If you ever get to that point, you will understand! Of course, I will whoop it up for a kid on the other team sometimes, if they do something particularly good! I love kids!

(Remind me of that in a couple of weeks!
