KAYAKING

Watching birds soaring overhead
I wish I was free to escape the earth's clutch.
So I climb into my kayak and sail away
Over the water,
My arm propelling me like wings
As I glide gracefully above the lilies.
I am unleashed,
Free to go where I please,
No more will the earth take hold of me
And drag me along on my weighted walk.
I CAN FLY!

Not bad. Do you often write poems, or is this a single exception?

i write mostly poetry, a few storylets (less than 5 pgs) & am still working on a collection of stories & scenes that hopefully when i'm done with it (in 20 years or so...) will make a complete story. i thought for awhile about writing a "what if" Middle-Earth story, but that never went anywhere... but before i do i'm going to read HoME to get the details right.

I have trouble writing short stories. The shortest one I've done in a long time was 12 pages. Everything else is over thirty.

I used to write a lot of poetry, but now I mostly do prose. Sadly, I have to wait till I'm back at school to upload the good long stuff

I have a friend who's writing @#%$ a poetry column, sort @#%$ like an ezboard but not. They send @#%$ poetry @#%$ have judges decide whose is best.

I think that people writing poetry is probably a lot more common than people writing books, or stories. Does anyone have opinions as @#%$ which is easier?

Most people find poetry easier @#%$ write. I used @#%$, till i got bored @#%$ @#%$

I think something's wrong with the censoring... I'm getting all of these "@#%$"'s in most of the things I visit.

I write sci fi everyonce and a while. Havn't worked on anything for a few days though.

What's your longest work?

Around 15 pages in Word. I get bored with stories quickly.

My sister has that problem. She thinks of ideas for great stories, and she wants them written, only she doesn't want to write them. Other times she starts a story and doesn't finish it.

With me, my ideas usually don't leave the plot making stage. I plot them out, thinking of every detail, and then usually don't write them. When I do, they always get completed. And of late have always been over a hundred pages long by the time they're finished.

I'm like your sister. I had some pretty cool plots going along, but I get distracted from writing (like right now, when I could be working on a Star Wars fan fic)
