I dont see why a "phenomenon" cant win Hector. Why come out to the rallies, make signs and yell and scream if you arent going to actually vote? Im not sure. Kennedy was a "phenomenon" in 1960 as well as youll recall. And just like Kennedy winning in anti-catholic states, Obama is showing he can pull votes in largely white states including the south. If thats all youth then they are making themselves heard like never before so far. Not sure theyll suddenly all decide to sit on their hands come November.

I'm just not sure Hillary is finished...

What would be REALLY funny is if Hillary became President, and all those close colleagues of hers (Ted Kennedy, John Kerry et al) in the senate had to suddenly buckle down and swallow their cud.

Of course that wouldn't be worth it.

James Dobson was just on Dennis Prager's show:

1) He won't vote for McCain...he distrusted Bob Dole

2) He's fine with Romney or Huckabee, both of whom he's said he's talked at length with.

Punditry-theatrics are in high gear: Romney is collecting the recounted vote in West Virginia...Georgia is within margin of error, and Romney might win CA later tonight. Yeesh! I'm going to pull out my hair

Rush Limbaugh just endorsed Romney. Doesn't mean anything to me. He's a latecomer. And he's obnoxious.

UPDATE: Huckabee wins West Virginia. After Ron Paul was tossed off the ballot there, and McCain was low in the numbers the second time around. Safe to say that the McCain people tossed their support to Huckabee. Ouch for me, especially since it looked like Romney was winning.

Huckabee in Macon GA: called Romney arrogant, said he [Huckabee] was not for sale.

I've never wanted to punch a politician so much as I do Huckabee right now. This is negative campaigning at it's most slimey. Does Huckabee really resent those mild ads from Iowa so much?

Politico.com has by far the best keep-up for today's results

http://www.politico.com/

(just click on the state you want to review the results for, and it comes up easily)

Hector, you, of all people, should understand this. Romney isn't a social conservative in the same way Huckabee is. He's a minister, he speaks their language.

Why should any of those folks vote for the slick millionaire from Massachusetts? And Romney, from all accounts, is an insufferable jerk. Everyone else knows how to play nice. He thought he could buy the election.

*shakes head*

Rex,

I was obviously wrong about Obama...you can smack me now.

On the other hand, it wasn't exactly a huge wipe out for Clinton. The polls in CA are cosing very strongly for her. It ain't over till this gal sings.

Oh yeah, he did. And compared gays to necrophiliacs. He has a POV, that's for sure.

Does America want to elect the oldest 1st term president EVER with this guy a heartbeat away?

Ok...so Mitt won Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, Utah, Massachussetts, North Dakota and Alaska.

Before that he won Wyoming, Michigan, Nevada, and Maine.

That's a pretty weird mix He won all the blocky northwest states, plus a few. The funny thing is, he won in all those places by a lot. And in Missouri and Georgia, he really gave Huckabee and McCain a run...I was looking at the polls last night with 90+ resporting, and by then it was an almost three way split. 34, 31, 30....in GA. In Missouri is was even tighter. (check Politico.com for the results)

I don't know what this means, delegate-wise. I can't imagine that Romney really solidified himself with all "those other states". Dick Morris was just on a mmorning radio show and suggested that Romney might drop out very soon.

Well, I already took down my banners...

It might actually be a good thing. We are a democracy, and the president has very little power when it comes to lawmaking. And even supreme court justices often don't pan out as their nominator hopes.

If a president Huckabee ever tried to really push such extreme points of view, it might raise enough backlash to pass some laws that would bury the religious extremists for a long time.

Michigan loved his dad. Alaska has a fair number of Mormons. I'll give you Minnesota and Maine, which are solidly blue states, and the activist republicans are STILL often Mormon, and they permit voter registration day of.

I'm considering making a graph. I'd like to see how many NON-Mormons voted for him.

In other words, Huckabee is a fool that would make religious rights lesser. Yeah, I'm really thanking him.
