Um, Ruinel is just sore because while Finrod lived in Middle-earth, he had a queen, and it wasn't her. Then when he came to Aman, he married Amarie. She was left out all the way around. Poor thing. Her dreams of Finrod were hopeless. That is why she is so excitable and defensive.

If they only marry once in life and, he married Amarie, then what the heck is he doing with you? It can be found in Volumes 10 and 11 of the Later Quenta Silmarillion.

Hmmm. That's right. I guess we have strayed away from that perspective in this thread, and tend to focus more on the admiration perspective of a character. Or perhaps it's mainly the 'good' characters that make an impression on us.

I think one of them lovely unmarried sons of Feanor would be more your speed. Maybe Celegorm, or Caranthir hmmm? If you would like to be close to Finrod though, you may try a flirt with that goof Orodreth.
