Okay I was trying to erase my other post it wouldn't let me so I came up with a question.


What part are you really excited about seeing in the movie (the part they better not leave out)

I am excited about the following

* The Flight to the Ford
* The Battle with The Balrog at Moria
* Lothlorien
* Gollum guiding Frodo and Sam
* The fight with Shelob
* Gandalf vs Saruman
* the meeting of Strider and when Aragorn's sword is fixed and he is named the heir to the throne

Well I just started the third part so thats what I got for now. Of course like many have said I would like for all of LOTR to be presented in the movie but that is not possible I just hope that the characters are presented accurately, and they do the book justice

Okay... scenes I expect to REALLY impress me...

First comes the Balrog.

Then there's Eowyn and the Witch-King... Shelob's Lair... the destruction of Isengard by the Ents... any of the big battles... there's so many!

yes we must see a spectacular witch king slaying. also i want to see lothlorien.

yeah, IP the tea-party of Eowyn with the Witch King will be possibly one of the best scenes.

I can't blame dogtrot, though. We all forget that some of us have yet to complete LotR here

i'd love it if they included the tale of aragorn & arwen WITHOUT sap-ifying it, but the chances of that are kind of low, esp. considerign some of the rumors i heard about arwen.

If the pyre of Denethor doesn't send chills through me, then I'll be bitterly disappointed.

in the book, the pyre of denethor was so intense, they'd better keep that same feeling in the movie. that sense of tragedy, without making it overglorified or sappy.

I agree. If that scene isn't perfect (since it's my favorite) it will completely ruin the movies for me.
