Need help with dwarvish

I was working out the alphabet (found in the Hobbit) today and it said that there is no rune for Z. What about stuff like Khazad-Dum (sp?)? Does anybody know what stands for the Z sound in dwarvish?

It might bave been something like 'Khashad-dum'.

The spellings were angelecized. OFr example Felagund = Felackundo

The alphabet in the Hobbit belongs to Anglo-Saxon, it was not invented by J. R. R. Tolkien and was never used by the Dwarrows of his world.

Maybe it is represented by a dipthong.

A moral of the whole (after the primary symbolism of the Ring, as the will to mere power, seeking to make itself objective by physical force and mechanism, and so also inevitably by lies) is the obvious one that without the high and noble the simple and vulgar is utterly mean; and without the simple and ordinary the noble and heroic is meaningless." Letters of JRR Tolkien, page 160.
