Unfountently I havent been able to catch SG-1 or Alantis. My mom hates sci-fi, but me and my dad love it. I havent seen it since....um....I think after Carter tried to save her dad with a Gould.(I think)

Teal'c is my fav.

Does anyone know how many seasons are on DVD?

So Season 9 iof Stargate SG-1 is about 6 episodes in.

Carter is now back (took first 5 episodes off due to baby).

New enemy = Ori. Goa'uld are defeated.

Ben Browder is new leader of SG-1. RDA = gone and briefly appeared in two episodes. Claudio Black guest stared in first 6 episodes.

I know that the first 7 seasons of SG-1 are out on DVD, the 8th is coming this fall in like a month or two. Season 1 of Stargate Atlantis is coming out in a month or two.

Ok I'll try to make a short explanation. They finally got defeated last bunch of episodes of season 8, but this had been happening over the seasons:

They'd been doing it one by one.

Then the replicators started to become all powerful - a big enemy of the asgaurd. somehow the replicators majorly evolved and there became "human-form replicators" that controlled them all.

Replicators started to destory all the Goauld - and everything else in the galaxy.

The Goauld are neutralized, the Jaffa rebel and SG-1 and the Jaffa use an ancient weopon to destroy the Replicators (who had already forever weakened the Goauld).

Dr. Frasier = gone. She got killed I think in season 7.
General Hammond = gone. season 7 was his last. he guested in a bunch in season 7.

O'neal becomes General and replaces Hammond for season 8. Sg-1 now is 1 person short.

Season 9= General O'neal is gone. Replaced by some other general (forget his name).

At the beginning of Season 9, SG-1 was broken up. Col. Mitchel is now the leader of SG-1. It is unclear whether SG-1 is back with Jackson, Carter, and Teal'c.

whoa! I need to go to hastings or something and rent the entire series! And I need to start watching Alantis, too.

Yeah (for the SG-1 part). Atlantis is not so good though. It's too much the same as stargate.
