Plane crash in New York.

Apparently a jumbo jet has crashed on takeoff into a busy New York residential area.

Not again...

Well, the issues around its closure aside (I believe bmilder reopened it) not many people seem very interested in the plane crash

and I thought I had got there first with a killer thread

It was in the air for approximately 3 minutes. News I have heard today is that it seems that this plane flew into a mass of turbulance that preceeded another plane, causing the second plane to lose control.

I think they are more saddened then panic stricken. I think that when it first happened that the whole country thought it might be another terrorist attack. And that fate may yet await us. There is no way to know, and a lot of paranoia exists in that regard. But, this plane crashed into a neighborhood where a lot of the folks lived that were lost in the WTC disaster. So, I think it is more grievous then fearful.

I think im juts terriby misunderstood

The main problem with this crash, all deaths and damage aside, is that it hurts AA more and more.. thats what? 3 planes now? And they were already in trouble, now they're toast

Anyone else find it interesting that of all places it could've crashed, it chose new york?

I don't think it was a choice. It took off from Kennedy Airport, and crashed about three minutes later.

Well, New York is the busiest airspace in the world. It's lucky that with all those jumbo jets bumbling around, wake turbulence crashes don't happen more often.
