Interesting combo... doesn't Kilmer's poem end:

"Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree!"

?

Actually, I haven't seen that end!

Well, it's still ok that poem, if I add this:

"I believe in God, only I spell it Nature."

Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who happen to be walking about. ~ Mercutio... erm, GK Chesterton.

I have been quoting some lines from "Big Fish" all day and laughing every time I do.

Quote:
"Is it true she's got a glass eye? I heard she got it from the gypsies..."
"What's a gypsy?"
"Your momma's a gypsy."
"Your momma's a bitch."
That last line gets me every time.

I love that one.

"I do not remember what I was taught, only what I learned." - I forget

"Happiness is a butterfly, which, when pursued, is always just out of grasp, but if you sit quietly, may alight upon you." - Oh, um....

Same old skies of grey, same empty bottles on the floor.
Another year's gone by, and I was thinking once again,
How can I take this losing hand and somehow win?

Just give me One Good Year To get my feet back on the ground.
I've been chasing grace; Grace ain't so easily found
One bad hand can devil a man, chase him and carry him down.
I've got to get out of here, just give me One Good Year!
