They woudl be obliterated - just like Nazi Germany and Japan was. They were rebuilt afterward - but not the way they were. We went in there and occupied them for 10 years. But in a Constitution, but in rules to prevent things from happening like that again. After we destroyed them.

This isn't like "now do that again or we might mad" situation.

Don't you realize that today's world isn't what it was back in WWI and WWII? The US (or any other country) needs to realize that we are all neighbors, working together with each other. The fact that the US went into Iraq without the blessing of the UN says something negative about the US.

No - what it says is how weak the UN is especially now that it has been uncovered about the under the table deals the UN had with Saddam's government through the Oil for Food program. After 17 resolutions - I think it was time to say - enough is enough.

Not to throw this thread down the old "al qaeda" road... but...
I heard mention of the under the table deals between the UN and Saddam Hussein's government. That might be why there was so much stalling. However, if this ever gets cleaned up (and I honestly hope it does), I'd like to see all of the countries working together for the good of the global community, not just for themselves.

Well we have been trying to get other countries to help. But no one can force them to. And if other countries don't want to - then we have to - but those other countries can't whine and bitch when they aren't in on rebuilding contracts and so forth. They also can't expect us to help them when they want help or be considerate when there are trade negotiations and so forth.

Oh well - this is off the subject of selective service now.

As came out from the 9/11 Hearings - the CIA was working on terrorism as a criminal case, while Al Qaeda and the terrorists were treating it as all out war. Any country that bombed our embassies or attacked a military ship would be obliterated - but we just let them go.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize Congress passed a Declaration of War. And if its no longer required then these are some sad times we are living in, if the government and the president can just do whatever they feel like without the consent of its citizens.
