I have no idea what you mean.

Do you like grilled cheese sandwiches?

It is not fair to say that SGH does all the work here.

The rest of us moderate plenty.

In this forum especially I close and move topics all the time - and moderate the topics when I see fit. Just because I may not make a post before I close it does not mean that I did not do it. Look down page 1 of GM - Khamul has made some closures too.

I'm on a time every day going over topics and moderating.

SGH is like 47 and the rest of us admins (mostly - except for anduin and FM who are never really here anyway) are in High School or College. We have a ton of work outside of the moot and we can't be here every second.

It's only I usually go to the forums you don't and normally don't post much.

And I also do my job.

You seem very defensive. I wonder why?

You have to admit, she does the lion's share of the work around here. If you or Khamul have closed threads, or moved stuff, that's good. I'm just saying that I see her doing most of the work.

If there's 47 admins and mods, then given the odds of 1:47 she shouldn't be observed doing so much. But she is. So, what does that tell you about the amount of work she does compared to the other admins and mods?

You know Hobbit, I realize that not all the mods and admins have as much time to mod as I do, but don't act like because I'm 48 that I have no life, or anything better to do outside of Entmoot.

To be honest though, it isn't just about closing and moving threads. How hard is that to do? I have at times spent hours observing heated threads and making sure they stayed civil. That is what is time consuming, and you don't do much of that. I love moderating at Entmoot, and sometimes it can get crazy, like the movie forum blowing up that time. I appriciate that a lot of the mods are busy people. I find it funny though, when one of them posts in a thread that is in the wrong forum, and they don't move it. That's pretty lazy, when you're right there.

I appriciate it that the members appriciate what I do, so there's no need to get upset Hobbit. I'm not trying to steal your glory. Chill out!

I know you do FM. So does azalea, and Hobbit. Khamul seems to have a little more time than he use to right now. IP also pops in on occassion. You guys sure are a touchy bunch.

It is very hard to close topics.

I'm not mad, I'm pretty chilled.

Bringing this up just because 'threads' has been such an issue of late, and I thought we could use a place to dialog about threads themselves.

This is NOT intended for users to constantly demand of mods and admins: "Awww... Why did you close MY thread?!?"

Rather, my intent is that it be a place where mooters CAN ask some basic questions about threads - what is appropriate - and where admins and mods can answer... as opposed to an 'announcement' type thread where admins can only post a policy and questions cannot be posted to it.

So... if you have some specific questions about appropriate thread-making policies, ask them here... BUT, give the mods and admins a break, don't badger them and respect the fact that they have the final say.

bah! you just pretend you own them .

I've always thought of threads as movies, some are big blockbusters, others grow gradually, and alot just are forgotten about...I think I've had quite a few blockbusters
