David Clement-Davies

One of my favorite authors, he's written Firebringer and The Sight. Just wondering if anyone else has read him...and if anyone knows if he's written, or is writing, any more.
Myself, I prefer Firebringer, mostly because it seemed to have more depth. However, I haven't read either in more than a few months, so those who have read them more recently probably have more to talk about.

Oh yes, I've read Firebringer. I agree, it's very good, and I'm surprised more people haven't read it. Perhaps the fact that it's about talking deer is a bit off-putting, recalling shades of Bambi.

But really, it's all about the sort of things that people seem to love in more ordinary epic fantasy: prophecies, battles, magic, quests, and the like, don't you think? It's the anthropomorphic deer that make it unique.

I'm glad to find someone else who's read Firebringer; it was a great book. It seems to be a while since you posted this, but I thought I'd reply anyway. Cheers!
