My family's a real mix, there are sides of the family in places like Cyprus and Italy. But my surname is derived from an old scottish one. My dad is a scot (maybe half am not sure now) and me mum is welsh. And we live in England. So who am I again...

But my mum's maiden name.........thats a different story all together! most of her side are from england........sum from france...........hense here maiden name......Vessey....there is a town in france called Vessey........Have you guessed I where here family have originated from? hehe

Some great-grandmother of mine was Scottish.

I also have a friend who moved from Scotland a few years ago. Her accent is tremendously wierd. When she talks to someone Scottish, or about Scotland, it's there, but if she's just talking to an American, it's not.
