I have the map of middle earth illustrated by John Howe. Tis nice, not spectacular, but it has a border with some very erm, unimpressive illustrations. Some of them look nice, but (like the film) the Uruk Hai have no S runes on their helmets and the men of gondor have eight stars on their shields (or is it six?) tis definately not seven.

The atlas of Middle Earth and the 'Journeys of Frodo' have some nice, simple but clear maps which I find very useful. The artwork on the site cards for 'Middle Earth CCG' is also very nice. As is all the artwork for that beautiful game (sob, miss it...).
