I love old movies.
My had got me hooked on old westerns, so I love stuff like McClintock and Rooster Cogburn and The Shootist.

Seven Bribes for Seven Brothers
All the old Hitchcock movies, esp. North by Northwest.
Some Like it Hot was great too.

Oh thats all I can think of right now.

Laurel and Hardy are great! My grandpa tapes them all the time for some reason.

Anything kung fu is also automatically great, especially if it's a Jackie Chan. They're not real old I guess, but not new at least.

Walter Mathau and Jack Lemmon aren't real old either (well they are) but someone mentioned The Odd Couple. I liked Grumpy Old Men.

Has anyone ever heard of It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World?

If 1965 is somehow considered "old", there are simply too many to name.

John Ford´s westerns are my favorites, I like basically them all. The cavalry trilogy is great, and the Wagonmaster, the Man who shot Liberty Valance and the Searchers are very good.. other his movies are good too, like the Lost Patrol, and the Quiet Man.

I don´t know is the Great Escape "old" movie, but it´s my favorite movie of all time.

Then what do you consider "old"?

ooh! you know what else is good? The Sting with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Don't know if it's old old, but it's....older. and not the 2nd one with Jackie Gleason; that was awful!

One of my favorite movies is the Third Man. such a good movie, great film noir and you can't beat the music in that movie. I like The Sweet Smell of Success. I am also a fan of Some like it Hot and I just recently saw Laurence of Arabia, which liked it a lot. Also Laurence's director's other work, Doctor Zhivago, which amoung other things, is just a beautiful picture and epic. I am probably missing a lot of one a like, but those are the movies that come to mind for me

They're actually dead.

I just finished watching The Big Sleep last night, a Philip Marlowe detective story starring Bogey and Bacall. It was great.
