Definately the perfect place, esspecially for the Shire. And I can hardly believe how little they had to travel to get from one place to another. The only dissapointment was Bree, but that is understandable. I never met anybody who didn't like that choice of location.

What didn't you like about Bree?
It was exactly how I pictured it.

My favorite places in the movie are probably The Shire and Rivendell. And all shot in New Zealand... amazing. It's just like a whole different world there.

And it's so hard to believe that they build Edoras from scratch!

Bree- there wasn't enough of it mainly. I think the set for Bree included piece of an outdoor wall and the inside of an inn. The Prancing Pony was just how I pictured it, but I think he should have included more of the streets of Bree. It wouldn't take too much time or effort, and you could get the feeling of the town.
It isn't bad nessecarily, but it was disappointing for my somewhat high hopes.

that was pretty insane how they found the perfect spot too.

Yeah, it was so perfect. But they took it down after only 8 days (I think) of filming. It would be nice to visit it. I'd feel like I was actually in Middle-earth.
