LOL
This is a letter from the Bits and Bobs section of Sir Ian McKellen's website:
Bits and Boobs Q: I'm not very good at writing letters, and this will probably (hopefully) be the first and final fan mail I have ever written. I love what movies of yours that I have seen. When did you decide to become an actress? A. I suggest you have another look at my movies. |

He's really a funny guy...
...and a great Gandalf. I ran to this when the checking out the old E!Online LotR Special Reports: 'After a couple of takes, McKellen hurls himself against the wall, arms pinned and head thrown back. "The choice, it seems," he pants, "is to submit to Sauron or to you." He turns his head to the camera, bellows, "I shall do neither!" and hurls himself off the wall into the safety of a foam mattress off camera. They go for a fourth shoot--McKellen throws himself again at the wall and cries, "The choice it seems, is to submit to Miramax or to New Line. I shall take--the money!" He nose-dives into the mattress amid laughter and applause from the crew.' |

Hehe, oh yeah. And as some of you may have noticed, it is taken from the scene where Saruman imprisons Gandalf to Orthanc.
