One of my earliest memories is that I would go into my room, take a huge stack of kids boks with me, shut the door, and read for hours. And the thing is, it wasn't boring at all, it was actually quite fun! Guess that explains why I was always considered the "smart kid".
Oh, and I remember one really weird deja vu experience. I was fairly young (maybe about three or four) and my mom was driving me somewhere (I forget where). I had never been down that way before, and then we passed what looked like a playground, and I immediately remembered that I had been there. The only thing was, I had never been there. I looked back into my memory, and you know how normally when you remember a place you see it clearly (in the optical sense)? Well, i remembered it as if I was looking through some kind of hole, and it was kind of hazy too. I knew that I had neevr been there before, and yet, I saw that place and knew I had. My mom could only explain it by saying that she had gone down that way a few times while she was pregnant with me. So whether it was some kind of vision from the womb, or something else, I still can't explain.

I remember riding a tricycle at age 3. Um, I also remember trying to run around in our backyard at our old house(I say TRY, because the backyard was only about 2-3 square meters). I also remember jumping down the stairs about 7-9 steps, about age 3-4, and totally knocking the wind out of myself, anfd not being able to move for a few moments.

I remember flying kites with the boys next door when I was about 2...probably 3ish. I also remember when my old best friend moved in to the same next-door-house (the boys I flew kites with had moved out.) I think my friend's parents invited my parents for peanut butter sandwiches and wine...
I remember my first, last, and only boyfriend (at least, so far) in preschool. The relationship lasted 5 minutes. I wouldn't play Ninja Turtles with him.

I remember that I used to have this really cool next door neighbor who i called "Grandma Ann". She wasn't my actual grandma, but she always spoiled me so much that you really would think she should have been. There was even one time (I must have been 3-4) that I walked out of my house, and just went right over to grandma Ann's without my mom noticing. Grandma Ann called my mom and asked her if she knew where I was. My mom was fairly embarresed/shocked when she found out that I had snuck over to Grandma Ann's. The great thing is, grandma Ann gave me a piece of butterscotch candy, which to this day remains one of my favorite types of candy.

I remember falling down the stairs when I moved into the 'new house' (my current house). I was supposed to go get the guy that was working on our basement, and I tripped on the third step.
Not my earliest memory though, because I was 8.

I just remebered a creepy one after reading these. I was four, went to play with the little boy who lived behind us (this was in Tacoma Washington) He insisted I put a glass jar down my pants (???), then we climbed a pine tree very high up, Then we went to his back yard and he and his big brothers made "whips" out of tree branches and threatened to whip me if I didn't pull my pants down!! I ran home and told my mom, and that's all I remember. I can't believe she'd let me go over there by myself at age four!!!

I remember running away from home at age two. We lived 3 blocks from the beach. I managed to get to the beach and pedal four more blocks to my favorite playground. I can still visualize getting stuck in some soft sand (it was Daytona Beach, most of the sand is hard packed - people drive on it).
The earliest feeling I can remember is the pain from the surgury I had as a baby. I had a kidney removed so it hurt to sleep on that side, It would wake me up if I rooled on to it. I think the pain makers stick the longest in memory, but the elation of the freedom of running away way powerful. also.

I remember a day at pre-primary school, when someone was playing with my favourite toy helicopter. I crawled toward the helicopter, and bumped my forehead on the corner of a brick wall. I remember laughing for some reason. Then I turned around, and some chick looked at me and started crying.
When I stopped laughing, I was taken to the hospital, and stitched up. Last edited by Andúril : 07-03-2002 at 01:49 PM. |

I remember when I was about two, I was taking a bath with my sister. I was really mad at her, so I bit her in the back. I got in alot of trouble for that.

My earliest memory is of a half dog half wolf I had named wolf. Original I know, but give me a break, I was like 2) I had him when I lived in Indiana and he was pure white and when it snowmed he would lay on the ground and c over his nose with his paws so I couldn't find him, and then, when I was walking by he would jump out and knock me over.

You people make me feel even more happy that I was (and am) an only child. Plus I never slept with my cousin. Ok, I just realized what I was subconsciously implying.....

once i had a tea set, you know those little plastic ones? well it had silverware all connected with plastic stuff. i was really little and couldnt break apart the forks. my mom was on the phone an di was trying to get her to help me. of course i was very little so i couldnt talk very well. so i was sitting there yelling at my mom, "foke off, foke off!" the person on the other end just didn't know what to think.
