Couple's financial responsiblity

To anyone who is in a relationship were they are living with a partner, how do you split the bills?

Because we're married, all that we own we own together according to the law, and our incomes are approximately equal, so it doesn't matter who is paying the bills.
Before we got married, we split everything 50/50.

We share everything we have. In other words, any money that comes in goes into the pot, and the bills are paid from that.

Same here. Even before we were married we had a joint checking account. Though I do know married couples that keep their money seperate. But why they do that I don't understand.

I think that I would have a Joint account for OUR things and then a personal account for her and my things.

But, since I doubt I'll get married its just academic for me.
