Feeling hobbity?

Here is my question to enliven the moot a bit in this dull summer-time.

I’ve read somewhere (in this forum?) that Tolkien wrote that he “felt like a hobbit”.

I wonder how do YOU feel?

Does the hobbit point of view suit you?

Or you feel like WHAT?

Very Hobbity! Good food, good drink, good friends, good stories! A smoke and drink and good conversation! and Rosie to welcome you home at the end of the day or journey! My friends, IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS in this phase of our existences!

Hehehe... A wizard, thinks he's wise, is crazy but doesn't act like it, old in mind no matter how young.

I don't feel hobbity at all. I want some adventure in life, the more the better. And I am interested in dark tales and bad guys.

Sometimes I feel hobbity, sometimes not. I just woke up so I'm quiet and like I want to be an elf, but sure. Hobbity is always good. Maybe I'll have a hobbit day though. That sounds good right now. I should clean my room, make myself lots of food (my appetite has been gone for a while, now it's back.^^) and read, probably.

Hobbity evening...

Last night we had a wonderful electrical storm in Northern NY at sunset, it was just beautiful...even the fireflys were buzzing around happily. I live on a 144 acre farm for the moment surrounded by pine and beech...my lawns are huge and have little islands of trees and shrubbery with flowers planted in pleasing places.....soooooooo....when I went and sat in an old red wagon to watch the sky-show I could almost imagine Gandalf and a host of hobbits under my large stately cedar...wonderful....wished the rest of you mooters could have been there...

Oh, that's right, I was going to say shoes, or rather, a 'lack' of shoes seems to do the trick for feeling hobbity...

*refills hid (also spelled 'head' in other languages ) with high octane 'air'

I remember back in the day (it really wasn't that long ago though) there was a bit of a movement to head "north" (the Tokien forums) and I remember saying that the first sign of feeling that urge was the desire to go barefoot. I'm afraid of stepping on things though.

The are 2 things that make me feel very "hobbity".

I rarely wear shoes and if I just have to...then it's flip-flops.
I love plants and gardening!

Quite often I also feel "Bagginsish" (<that looks funny), because I get those urges to go on an adventure.

I definitely feel "hobbitty"! Firstly, I don't like wearing shoes much either - even though I keep free-range hens!! Secondly, I love green places and love walking. Oh - and I definitely enjoy going on adventures - so that makes me a bit "Bagginsish" as well!

Yep!

And the only thing I can't relate to is the hairy feet, not yet anyway! LOL

My toes are a little hairy, haha. See the thing about going barefoot outside is, though I *feel* like a hobbit, I don't actually have those hard, hobbit-like soles. Therefore, it's a little dangerous. (singing- "Aaaabunai, aaabunai...") They also don't like it much when you try to go in the store...

LOL
My feet are getting a bit rough on the bottom.
My husband says, "Women's feet aren't supposed to feel like that."
Then I have nightmares about them looking like Peter Jackson's!

i've always wanted really hard feet, not that look weird, but really hard so they dont get hurt, like johnny appleseed, in the story, his feet were so hard he could be bit by a rattlesnake and it wouldnt hurt!
