Royal Wedding

Today the Crown Princess Victoria married her financee Daniel Westling in the Storkyrkan which lies in the very centre isle of Stockholm.

It was a beautiful ceremony. Magnificent gowns and uniforms worn by the Royal Family, the kings and queens of the European monarchies, various dignitaries.

The cortege wound its way through the streets of the capital, the route were lined with members of various organisations and military units.

The Stockholmers all joined in the festivities - thousands of cheering people gathered to congratulate the young royal couple.

Marching band and musical corps played celebratory marches as the cortege passed en route towards the Royal Sloop. It carried the happy pair slowly and regally to the castle where the couple went ashore and up onto the balcony where they were cheered and heartily congratulated by the gathered Stockholmers. Magnificent music and songs were performed.

It was a marvellous event and Im glad I was able to see it on TV.
