It's quite nice, actually, thank you. Got a girlfriend, soon for 2 months, she's the loveliest I've switched/switching from graphic design to social services. Sis has a 3 year old mittelspitz (and an attitude problem), mom's a happy pensioner... oh and I might finally be getting psychotherapy for my depression and anxiety. So, yay.

Sounds like good things are happening for you, awesome!
My husband is considering a careerswitch to social services, particularly care giving. <3 And congrats on the lovely girlfriend

I'm good! Though I'm done with being pregnant. I really hope this baby isn't going to make me wait much longer. Last night he tried to create an alternate exit to my belly. That was ugh.

At the end of this month actually, but I'm hoping he's going to show his face earlier If he's going to make me wait till March, I'll be pissed. Though of course there's not much I can do about it.

You must accustom yourself to that, my dear. This is a little person, with his own little personality, soon to become a very big personality in your life. Try to remember to love and enjoy that person and his personality, even when he’s hitting on your very last nerve by pressing your very last button. And may you love and enjoy decades together, until you yourself are old and decrepit, with the children of grandchildren sitting on your knees, snuggling in your lap! |

Well, that's a bit far ahead. For now I'll settle for him being born soon rather than late. But whenever he decides to show his face, I'll love him anyway

This is taking me back. It's nearly 21 years since we had our first... almost 16-1/2 since we had our third and last.
Lots of great times ahead... though you'll experience many of them through a lot of fatigue.

Washable ones, even worse.
But cheaper and better for the environment.

I admit, when the kids stayed here, we tended to use as ecological disposables as we could find. But sis shouldered on. Despite (or should I say out of spite, because that's sis alright) the creche not being all that happy about people actually using washables despite all their 'we'resoecological!' talk. Sis was not sad when the kids aged out of that creche... |

Well - life has been pretty full lately. My wife and I run a small want-ads paper together, I'm doing architecture on the side, and stay busy with volunteer activities in my "spare time". And I was thrown off lately several days, getting stranded in small town Montana for a few days (vehicle broke down on Saturday afternoon coming home from a trip on Saturday afternoon - then it was in the shop all Monday & Tuesday, so I got home Wednesday afternoon) - then I had the flu and was down for five days.
But still, life is good. Greatest thing lately, my middle son, now 18, has a nice part in the high school production of the musical, "Oklahoma!" - he's Will Parker, the comic character who sings "Everything's Up to Date in Kansas City". They performed last weekend (Thur, Fri, Sat) and again this week. I had to miss last week, but I went last night. The kids are all doing great, and I had a blast watching my son play his part.

That sounds like quite the experience! Wyoming (and Montana) will make a rugged Westerner of a Chicago boy yet!
