Dark eyebrows, Blonde hair?

In the film, I noticed Legolas has blonde hair which i'm sure everyone noticed but he has dark eyebrows? Do they have hair dye in Mirkwood?

HmMmMm... I have observed that when a person's hair is whiting, the eyebrows remain dark for quite a while. So it wouldn't be totally unrealistic for someone with light hair/dark eyebrows.... I'm not suggesting Legolas' hair is white, just, the theory behind it...

Orlando Blooms natural color is dark brown. And believe me, its not easy to bleach/dye such a dark color to blonde! They probably either left the eyebrows dark to accent his eyes, (imagine him looking into the distance trying to see the spies in that one scene with blonde eyebrows!) or the dye was starting to fade.

I'm a natual red head and my eyebrows are brown...and on the freak side ..one of my armpits grows copper colored hair and the other dark brown! My brother has sandy brown hair and an orange-red beard!

Orlando does have dark brown hair! He had to have it all shaved off to be able to wear his wig!!

my theory is that legolas was used to the darkness of mirkwood and that when he came out his hair was turned that way by the sun...

Actually, I don't much mind about the eyebrows. I guess you can't have everything - and if they were blond, it'd look like they had been shaved off or something!

I don't see why this should be so unusual. I know plenty of people who have never once touched their hair with any kind of bleach or dye, and yet they have this dark eyebrows blonde hair combination. My hair is like that after the sun lightens it in the summer. Perfectly natural.

You can see this best right after Moria, and that is where it first started bugging me. But when you put it in the ,"They just have really handsome elves in Mirkwood." view, it actually makes me like him more!
