![]() I liked Two Towers but was very disappointed in one thing - Faramir. In the book he was a great character. He was a throwback to the men of Numenor. He showed wisdom and insight in dealing with Frodo and Sam. He knew from the start that it was too dangerous to take the Ring back to Gondor. In the movie, he was just Boromir, Jr.
I think Peter Jackson did it that way to get more spectacle - the image of the Black Rider hovering on the dragon and Frodo about to hand over the Ring. But there was plenty of spectacle in the movie already. I think he should have left Faramir as Tolkien intended. Otherwise, I thought TT was great! |
