Yay! I'm happy that I'm done driving for today - took a pain pill for my sore little footie, am making chai tea and will put aforementioned footie up for a good long rest! Also I'm finally mostly over the flu!

Hey Mari, you're almost at 1000! *happy for Mari*

This is so totally uncool, but I'm SOOOO happy with my new dishwasher!!!! The one that came with the house we bought was just plain awful - the kids would pull out dishes and go "ewww!" I had to virtually wash everything beforehand - it was hardly worth it. And if there was anything like peanut butter on something, it was still there after being washed!

So that was my early Christmas present, because I use it every day, and I love having people over and throwing parties (like our Christmas cookie making party last weekend), and a good dishwasher is just such a help. It's not pretty or romantic, but people are the most important thing, and this makes having people over much easier

I'm happy because Pandora started putting up a lot of new songs and artists that I love suddenly! For the last few days it has only played things I've already heard.

... I am, however, DISTURBED.

Apparently I really like folk music.

Like, really like folk music. Like if folk music were a guy and I thought I was straight, this would be the moment where I realized I was gay kind of like.

... God help me. o.O THIS certainly -is- unnatural, whatever your view may be on the other, and no one can argue otherwise.

I KNOW BUT IT GOES AGAINST EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN TAUGHT BEFORE.

o.o

I'm mostly kidding . It's just that I used to always lump folk music with country, which I highly dislike. I didn't realize how different folk is... It has some of the same elements, but I really love how the musicians seem so... genuine.

You should post some of the songs you like in the Song thread and share it with us. (see my sig) And you still promised to let us hear one of your own songs when you have a good day, I won't let you forget that!
I like folk, classic and Celtic melodies. I long gave up feeling bothered about my... slightly off taste in music (compared to those in my surroundings that is).

Acknowledgement of the previously noted brilliance of the song.

I got a B+ on my paper! It might not seem exciting to most people, not even an A. But this is the first time that I can remember, at least since 3rd grade, that I've actually been graded on a paper. I'm taking a Constitutional Law course online, and with my quiz scores this means that I'm definitely getting an A in this class right now! It was kind of my test, to make sure I can actually do the sort of work I'll be expected to do in college. (I'm homeschooled, in case anyone doesn't know)

I bought a digital piano yesterday They gave me the wrong box, so I have to go back and get the right piano, but I'll have one when I go back home again next weekend! And then I can start practicing Christmas songs! I'm so happy!

It's almost Christmas!! And pianos are lovely at Christmas. Not that I have one but I do have some pretty lights and lots of songs to sing. I love Christmas.

And we got a new bed and it's super comfortable and I actually sleep at night now! Wow! I feel so awake and refreshed and my DDR skills have gone through the roof! (haha maybe not- I'm still way out of practice) Sleep is a wonderful thing. Even if I did have some weird dreams...

So, the other day I hit a C6# randomly while I was having a silly high notes battle with my sister (we do that some times... we just kind of squeak at each other ).

Then today I figured out how I did it and I hit a D6.

I do believe I may have discovered my Whistle Register.

Hurrah for meh. ^_^ Now to learn how to do it without squeezing the ever-loving-chippoltly out of my throat. o.O
