Anna and the King of Siam
Now that is a good biography,it's the story of Anna Leonowens(a real woman)and how she goes to Siam to be a teacher for the kings children and she got herself into a mess believe me you but in the end she totally turned Siam around. and in Siam she's called the White Angel because she practically abolished slavery and some of the stories about the children and her experiences with them are sooo funny.A very good biography of a Christian person(most Bioghrapies I think are good for bed time stories put the kids right to sleep)I really liked it

I dont rightly know
Mrs Leonowens wrote TWO autobiographies on her trip to Siam but I forgot what they're called, you can find it in any library under Anna and the king or soemthing like that.

Thanks Samwise. I knew that the musical was somewhat based on a true story, but your recommendation will send me to the library.

I've read both of those books and thought they were good. I forget the title of the first one Anna wrote, but the secone was The Romance of the Harem. The book Anna and the King of Siam was based on Anna's two biographies and was written by Margaret Landon.
