But they are so tasty....
Lightly grilled dragons on a kaiser roll are just the thing for a light lunch. Oh, You must be forgetting to remove the toenails and scales. Those are only for those who like extra crunchy... Oh... And shoulder dragons must die. Especially those that poop on my new cloak...

Yeah, why do you hate them?
I like dragons in general. But there's some I don't like. I hate Smaug...but it's that kind of hate you have when you like a villain. I like Smaug so much that I hate him...it's sort of complicated. I don't know if that really counts as "hating", though.

I love dragons - I just think they've been given a bad press! What they need is a better publicity agent!

Oh, I like Smaug and all the other dragons too despite the fact that they were evil (Tolkien ones).
In my mind dragons are noble creatures and they are beautiful too

Dragons are cool especially Ancalagon the Black he was awesome. But is it possible for a dragon to be good ( in Tolkien's world)????

Dragons were bred by Morgoth. (probably with Sauron supervising, he seems to be the "guy that gets things done around here") Much like the orcs, and trolls.
While possible, it would be highly highly highly unlikely. I think I did read one peri-the-winkle poem about a troll that liked to bake (By JRRT), as far as I'm aware that is the only reference to a "good" Troll, and nothing about a good dragon or orc. And that poem is probably apocryphal regarding middle earth.

Were there any dragons left by the War of the Ring? I don't remember them being mentioned; if they were around, I would've expected them to be heavily involved. I know they served Morgoth instead of Sauron, but I would still think Sauron could've recruited them for his war.
