Their fathers, Hurin and Huor, were brothers, isn´t it? Famous lot!
Assuming this answer is right: Where was Bilbo´s mithril coat kept, before he left for the Road following his 111 Birthday?

It was a trick question. That answer is partially incorrect. ]: )
However, bilbo kept his mithril coat on loan to the Mathom House at Michel Delving.

Ooh! I like this question! I've spent a great deal of (wasted) time making out a genealogy of the Three Houses of Men from Beor the Old, Haleth and Marach down to Elrond and Elros.
The answer: they were related on both sides. Tuor's mother RÃ*an and Túrin's mother Morwen were first cousins, their parents being Belegund and Baragund respectively. (Belegund and Baragund were brothers, Bregolas' children, and two of Barahir's solitary outlaws in Dorthonion). But Tuor's father Huor was the brother of Túrin's father Húrin, them being the children of Galdor and Hareth. In the words of many immature children ten years ago: BOOYA! My question: how many teeth did Gollum have?

"Teeth! Teeth! Chestnuts! But we only have six!"
Another question: What Noldorin lord was named in Quenya, Khudzul, and Old Westron? Bonus: What were the three names, and what did they mean?

Merry's name in the Westron tongue is Kalimac. Kali was the Hindu goddess of destruction and dissolution.

Wayfarer, the Beorians did not speak 'Old Westron' but a tongue called Taliskan. Westron in any form didn't exist until the Third Age.
markedel, 'Fingon' doesn't mean 'mighty descendant of Finwë'. It's a Sindarin adaptation of Quenderin Findecáno. 'Cáno' in Quenya means 'commander', it was prefixed by his father with findë because of Fingon's exceptional hair, which was long and plaited with gold. It may also be an 'echo' of the name of Finwë (which probably -- according to Tolkien -- had no connexion with 'hair'). Findecáno thus means hair-commander. In Sindarin it may have conveyed 'hair-shout', but it was just taken as a name of great antiquity and not analyzed. Also, 'Felagund' isn't pure Dwarvish but an Elvish adaptation, the genuine Dwarvish name was Felakgundu or Felaggundu. In any case Wayfarer asked for a name in Quenya, Khuzdul and 'Old Westron' (by which I think he meant Taliskan). The answer (if he's talking about Finrod) would be: Findaráto, Felakgundu and Nom. I believe Nom meant 'wisdom'. athelas, it's your turn to ask a question.

Who predicted the Gondor would be better off if Arvedui claimed the crown.
Bonus: where else was this character mentioned?

Malbeth the Seer
Malbeth the Seer to Araphant, Arvedui's sire: "A choice will come to the Dunedain, and if they take the one that seems less hopeful, then your son will change his name and become king of a great realm. If not, then much sorrow and many lives of men shall pass, until the Dunedain arise and are united again."
Malbeth the Seer was also mentioned in ROTK, when his prophesy was recalled that "The heir of him to whom the oath they swore" (Aragorn) would summon the oathbreakers from the Paths of the Dead. |
