Weird search terms that led visitors to the Trail
One of the features of our domain is a tracker that keeps track of all of the search terms that people plug into search engines that end with a click on the Tolkien Trail. Some of them are downright bizarre, and I have no idea how TT was reached. Here's just a few of them...

Re: Weird search terms that led visitors to the Trail
My parents (before I told them how insane they were) used to do searches to find websites. They didn't know you could type the url in right up in that easy to find address bar!

Re: Weird search terms that led visitors to the Trail
Interesting.... Merlomo didn't lead to anything at first on my usual search engines, but when I tried google.com, the first place it lead to was Entmoot! Of course, why anyone would want to search for Merlomo in the first place is beyond me....

Re: Weird search terms that led visitors to the Trail
I tried merlomo on Google, but didn't get the Trail. Maybe I just didn't look at enough of the pages it found.

Oh, man. You have got to try this, it's so freaky it's cool.
Type your own name, first and last, into the search engine... I thought I had a rather uncommon name, but I guess I'm wrong. It's neat, seeing how different these people who share your name are from you. |

Re: Weird search terms that led visitors to the Trail
tried that for my name - got to a Dragonriders of Pern online RPG site. i guess it's somehow appropriate that the only people i'ev ever heard of with my name are fantasy characters...
i'd kind of like to meet the person who plays aryne though - that'd be interesting. i also found mentions of some interesting characters: a named H'bbit, E'lf, & Precious; riding the dragons Ringeth, Galadrieth, & Gollumth! aryne * |
