I think I'd go with the Khan to lead the Rohirrim. I like the way they sweep in quickly, do their business, then get out. I'd like to see the horde get a dose of it's own medicine.
BTW, if that's you A-E, you DO look like Denzel.

That is Denzel, you ninnyhammer.
I'd take any of Caesar's legions, plus maybe some hyksos ones as well.

WOW! Denzel looks like Denzel. (playing up my ninnyhammership for the sheep)
How about some Shaolin monks or some Samurai and Ninja for covert ops. That'll be .

Yeah, and we'll drag in Cleopatra as well. She may have been butt ugly, but boy did she have brains. (Well she must have done to have seduced 2 of the most important men in the roman empire... if you believe she really existed, that is.)

well it is a picture that looks the MOST like me. A times we CAN look a lot alike.
the problem with shaolin, ninja, and samurai is that i think we may have been too influenced by cinema and not the real history BUT the guys from shaw brothers or golden harvest would have whooped some A$$ in LOTR

I'm not even thinking of the special effects and stunts from the movies regarding shaolin, samurai, and ninja.
It's just interesting to imagine more covert ways of waging the war (aside from a few lucky halflings). Speed and stealthy techniques are fascinating. They could be hired for intelligence gathering and even some assassinations. But with open battle, I think I'd still go with Genghis.

Ninjas are all about not actually facing a straight fight so they wouldn't do well in Middle Earth when you HAVE to fight. Plus they couldn't really assassinate anyone important.
*pictures a ninja trying to backstab a Balrog* It just isn't going to happen. Ditto with the Ringwraiths and Sauron. And you have no idea how hard it is to actually kill a troll. Read the song when Frodo and Co. find the Troll lair from the Hobbit. It's almost impossible to cut their skin at all.

I say bring along Attila the Hun. I don't know if him and Genghis would get along too well. They're in about the same league with the leading armies that get things done and move on.

Ooh, curse the public school system in America! Especially Florida! Can you believe that in 7 years of public school I have never had one world history course?! And I've had three American history courses! ERG!!
*shakes head, breathes* Well then, now that little rant is over, probably a Roman legion or some Samurai, probably the samurai, the legionaries fighting style would be too similar to Sauron's forces, it would make them more predictable. |

I would definitely bring in Alexander the Great. The guy conquered nearly the whole known world in his short lifetime of about 32 years! Imagine what he could have done with Middle Earth.
By the way, Menelvagor, don't worry. If Florida is like WI, you'll have to take a world history course in 9th grade. I did...it was actually interesting. I knew alot of the material already, though.
