Filming a movie at my School!

Yep theres a movie being filmed in my school, there looking for extras so I'm gonna try. Maybe I could land a small part.

Get a start on my acting career. lol. But I'm gonna pay close attention to how they set things up, organize, shoot, everything. Since thats the industry I'm looking to go into. By the way does anyone here like to make movies? Any short films, I've made a few but I'm getting off subject.

Movies are good. Thranduil and myself go to the same school, so we both know about it. The standards for being an extra are high and the number is only two hundred and a certain part of that have to be ethnic minorities. Everybodies going to try since the absences are excused which means no make up homework. The hours suck though, twelve hour shift the first day and ten the next. Don't even know if there is money involved.

You should ask thranduil about the LOTR movie he is making in our class.

Do you have to audition for a part, or is the crew just gonna walk through the halls on a real schoolday, filming anyone who walks by the camera?

No, Everyone would be glancing at the camera. That would never work. How to be on the show still hasn't been anounced but they will give us more info when it comes closer, about less than a month. But it should be a pretty big movie.

i would not reccomend actual extra work for anyone outside of school just in case you are thinking about it. you get treated like crap and you dont get to see much of the set up. you wait for about 2 hours after your call time and its crappy pay. you dont get to see much of the direction or any filming. but thats pretty cool about the filming at your sdchool. im too lazy to read the whole thread just in case its there but what is it about?

Its actually a Disney film, produced by Salt Line Productions. Its a wrestling, (school) film. And they have asked that 60 percent of extras are the minorities.?

cool. I am making a movie with a couple of friends. We've been working forever on costumes. It was just a little idea but it's been growing. We've sewed all the costumes by hand. They're pretty sweet.

Maybe i can get some pics on here in the near future.

The hardest part is the script. Ugh! And none of us being the greatest writers...Maybe I could get help from some wise 'mooters on here?
