L S - eh?

I've got a memory like a sieve and a poor record when it comes to Christmas shopping. I also have an annoying mother who buys me crap I don't want, so Christmas lists have to start early. Anyway, on the same bit of paper I started on a short list of CDs for my girlfriend, but one of them was a bit obvious so I put it down as "L S" to remind me and hopefully if she read it she wouldn't guess it. Well, like the very safe place for keeping things in, I've forgotten what the name of the band or artist is, so have you got any suggestions? We're not talking about crap like Westlife, by the way.

PS. I recommend the CD list for fending off unwanted socks, monogrammed diarires, etc. from overenthusiastic relatives. And you get a load of CDs out of it.

The only thing I could think of was Lynyrd Skynard. I kind of hope that's not it. What kind of music does she like? Could we maybe have a genre?

Well, that's it, I'm sorry. A lot of those are inversions of the peoples names. I've only ever heard of the Lovin' Spoonful. Maybe you meant to write L Z for Led Zeppelin?

Well, thanks for the sugestions so far, but no cigar yet. It's definitely the initials of the artist, not a mnemonic, but it still hasn't come back to me. And I think it must have been someone I heard in the last few weeks. Not very helpful I know!
