The Hobbit Movie
I'm not saying that there is going to be a film version of "The Hobbit", but if there was, who would you guys cast in the different roles?
Here's my cast list: Bilbo: Ian Holm Gandalf: Ian McKellen Thorin: Sean Connery Bard: Daniel-Day Lewis Beorn: Gerard Depardieu Smaug (voice): Christopher Lee Gollum: Andy Serkis Goblin King: Steve Buscemi Feel free to critique my choices |

Sean Connory as Thorin? I've read in another thread that Connory almost got McKellens role as Gandalf in LotR.

I think Connery would be perfect as Thorin, who is pretty much this stubborn, leaderly type dwarf. Granted, he might be a pretty good Gandalf, but in my opinion, McKellen was one of the best casting jobs in cinematic history. I mean, he got a Best Supporting Actor nomination.
