Change Avatars?????? Help

I know that a lot of people in this forum know about this cause they've done it.

PLEASE help me!! I'm trying to get a small picture undernieth where it says "Hobbit". Although some people come under sapling, Elf Lord etc!!

I've found the change Avatar part on usercp and i've copied a picture of a pretty hefty and keen sword. The only trouble is that I dont understand the URL part or the upload thing below it.

If you could find it in your hearts to help little lost me in a big and confusing world, then please do so forI will be ever thankful

Hi! I know it's frustrating trying to get the avatar thing going- let me try to help.

This only works if your avatar is a file on your hard disk, like mine is. I don't know any other way, but here it is:

go to "user cp", go to "edit options". at the bottom, press the "change avatar" button". at the bottom, hit the "browse" button, where you will go to the directory that your avatar file is in and then select the file, just like you're browsing to a file in Windows. Then hit the appropriate "OK" or whatever buttons, and you should be set.

good luck! I'll check in later. or you can PM Khamul the admin, he helped me get mine going. (ps - just to let you know, you might have a problem if the file is too big)
