In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.' 'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin "Oh. But the major enjoyment comes from making fun of weird, greek guys, who are dizzing our food and taking swedish names Quote:
This is getting way too regional...perhaps we should make this the "what's going on in Norway"-thread? Norway-the country where even the cats are stupid

There's this greek expert on food and health in Norway, with a very long name. So he took the name 'Lindberg' instead. He's been criticizing most Norwegians "way of life", claiming (among other things) that bread makes you fat. Of course he may be (and probably is) right, but here in Norway we have a long "bread-tradition". So quite a few people got very annoyed when this greek guy with a swedish name and his own 'health-program' came and began to criticize our food.

Aww, I didn't mean to sound insensitive. I feel sorry for the stupid thing. But it would have been funny, still. (It reminds me of the 'ba-ba-boom' line by Johnny Carson)

I can understand why the Greeks are criticizing the Norwegian food. One time I had this Norwegian salmon burger. It was poisoned or something because I puked like a dog afterwards.
But the Greek kitchen is quite good
