Halo 2

Alright, this game is deserving of a thread unto itself, and I'm surprised you guys haven't been on the ball while I was away.

First thing I have to say, Halo 2 is the closest thing to a perfect game I have ever played. Sure, the campaign isn't as exciting and thought-provoking as the first, but sequels are almost never better than the original. The graphics aren't as up to date as I've seen in other games, but when you step back and look at the sheer scale and beauty of everything that Bungie has put into the games, its very easy to forgive them for this.

But the thing that pulls the entire game together is the multiplayer. Split screen is still there, and as fun as ever. LAN parties are always an much better when there is a copy of Halo 2 on hand. But what really makes this game the monster it is is the XBox Live. Oh my god, I cannot get enough of Halo 2's XBox Live. Play everyday, I'm in a clan, and its soooo much fun. NEVER gets boring.

So...uhh...anyone else played and/or own it?

My XBox Live Account is: The Mix Masta

Just in case anyone wants to play me. I'm always interested in playing new people.

I have yet to play it, but I am going to learn very soon. I go to a school that's swarming with gamers, and it's amazing to a lot of the guys to find a girl that's interested in learning. My brother-in-law is going to teach me over winter break. I'm super excited (and have been watching Red vs. Blue for awhile).

not gotten this yet, I have Halo 1 though.

$50 seems too much to me. It seems very similar to Halo 1 which I thought was just an ok game.

I'll buy it when it drops a bit in price.

One of the nice things about living in a dorm is that I have now seen a 16-person Halo match. It was capture the flag and lasted for hours. It was just cool to see 16 people playing in the same game.

Of course I joined in when I got the chance. 16-player King of the Hill is insanity.
