Legolas's Hair Color
This is something that's been bugging me for a while. Is Legolas's hair color ever mentioned in the books?
I vaguely recall reading something about his being dark-haired, but when I tried to look it up, I couldn't find it. I also think that in the Appendixes it says that only the Elves from the house of Finarfin were blond, and Legolas is a Sindar, so he *should* be dark haired. On the other hand, Thranduil is blond in The Hobbit, and Alan Lee's ilustrations of the books show Legolas as a blond too. I'm really confused! Does anyone know if there is a *real* answer for this? (I'm not taking the movie into account here, since hair colour is the last thing they cared about...) Last edited by Laurus Nobilis : 02-04-2003 at 03:02 PM. |
