Janet Evanovich
Anyone read the Janet Evanovich books:
One For The Money Two For The Dough Three To Get Deadly Four To Score High Five Hot Six I just finished Two For The Dough and I'm starting Three To Get Deadly. I absolutely have to know if Stephanie Plum and Joe Morelli get "together". The car scene towards the end of Two For The Dough was pretty funny. |

I thought I was the only one in the world who read these books! They are really funny and I love them. But oh my god Ranger is so the one for Stephanie!

Yeah, but there's this sexual chemistry between Stephanie and Joe that kicks Ranger right out of the picture.
Besides, I'm not getting the feeling that either of them are attracted to each other. |

The next book is called 'Hard Eight' I think. I can;t wait until it's out, Seven Up was such a cliffhanger. I really like Stephanie because she acts just how'd I'd act if I were in those situations!

I'm not sure I would act the same way that Stephanie acts in the books. When

Lol! I love it when she freaks out and can't fire her gun.. She's so funny! I might have to go back and read them from the beginning, it's been so long since I read the first. Morelli's Grandma is great too, as is Stephanie's. She comes up with the best jokes.

I'm so surprised that not more people read these books. They are so funny.

Of the following list:
One For The Money Two For The Dough Three To Get Deadly Four To Score High Five Hot Six Seven Up Hard Eight Visions of Sugar Plums To the Nines It’s been awhile but I have read up until Hard Eight, I have not read the bottom two yet because I have them on reserve at the library. I shouldn’t have to wait for Vision of Sugar Plums for very long, but To the Nines (according to Amazon.com) doesn’t come out until July 15, 2003. But, when I checked the reserve status at the library I am number 175 and that’s no joke. I may have to break down and buy the book. I like Stephanie’s family especially her Grandma Mazur. Her grandmother reminds me of my grandmother even though they are nothing alike. I love Rex the hamster! Sometimes I like him better than Joe or Ranger, and he doesn’t even say anything. The situations make me laugh and the characters make me laugh even harder. The Joe vs. Ranger situation, in my opinion, is weighed more towards Joe. I say this only because there is much more back-story with Joe, while Ranger is always a mystery. |

And in this book, I can see Ranger
I am running out to pick up the 5th book (High Five) today. I have to have something to read at the beach while I'm on vacation here. Last edited by Ruinel : 09-02-2003 at 07:09 PM. |

Got High Five AND the 6th book also. It only takes me 2 days to finish a book that long, so I figured I better get both.

I started reading One For The Money at Whitcoules the other day when I was an hour early for work (don't ask ), and it looked pretty good. Unfortunately, my reading list is already quite extensively long, so I don't know when I'll be able to slot them in... *sigh*

They are really funny, and worth your time, if you can manage it. And if you stop at the first one, you will really be missing out.
How far are you in the first book? |

Well, I didn't get too far as I was only killing time before work started. I think I got up to the bit where she initially tracks down Morelli. But I've got to read that stupid VB tome, and then learn java, plus all the books I promised myself I'd read, and then there's the partially completed HoME series.... I NEED MORE TIME DAMMIT!
Edit... Much later that day: Well, I got side-tracked in Borders, so I spent the last couple of hours reading the first book. Very enjoyable. Will have to reshuffle my reading list so I can read the next ones. Last edited by Sheeana : 09-04-2003 at 01:46 AM. |
