Gmail

Would anyone like an invitation to google's new email service? It is currently in the test stages and this is the only way to create a free account (through an invitation from someone who already has an account). I have 4 invitations right now; this will be first-come first-serve. Every few days to weeks I get more invitations (and those of you who choose to sign-up will slowly accumulate invitations you could share with other mooters). Gmail has estimated 700,000 users (as opposed to 50-70 million in each hotmail and yahoo mail) so you have a good chance at getting whatever address you want right now before it goes totally public. Gmail gives you 1 gig of storage space so that you "will never delete messages again." It does have ads, though not as annoying as other services. They are tailored to the content in your email (via computer searches) the same way google.com searches are. And you can also search all your emails similarly to google.com.

You can read their 'about' page here.

Going once...going twice...

EDIT: There will most likely be a constant supply of invitations for y'all, given the speed in which I am given more and other mooters (who have just started accounts, like HOBBIT & Beren3000) also receive them.

edit by hobbit: Looks like everyone who wants one will get one. PM me or mercutio with your name and email address and we will try to get one to you. We still have a bunch left.

Hmm, I'd be interested in testing it. Could I get an invitation too please?
[edit] Thanks for the invitation.

I love gmail! I already have an address, but I don't really have anyone to invite, so... I can invite a couple people too, if necessary.

Can I take you up on that offer? It seems that Mercutio's 4 invitations are already out. So, can I? (Please )

Yeah, good plan. If anyone needs an address, PM someone. Either they'll take care of you or PM someone else. I still have my 6 invites too!
