im pretty sure its to remember all the soldiers who died in the war. maybe an american can elaborate for me.

It's all wars - from the Revolution to the Iraq one we just had.

Our Memorial Day is the last Monday of May - which was this past Monday.

I'm pretty sure it's for all wars. My calender says it's the 26th. i always thought it earlier than that.

November 11th is Veteran's day for us.

Took too long typing again so it got answered before i posted.
