Costumes
Have any of you ever worn a costume to a movie?
Are you planning to for TTT or ROTK? Currently, I'm trying to get plans together with a friend to dress up for ROTK, but I'm having a little trouble convincing her. We wouldn't be trying to make complete replicas of movie costumes, just wearing things middle-earthy (flowing sleeves/skirt, bodices, cloaks).

Well, I'd never wear anything to the movie, but I do have a Frodo costume I made up which includes a small Jedi cape from an old Halloween costume, an old vest, a black ninja shirt from an other Halloween costume, a belt, a plastic sword and sheath that looks remarkably like Sting, and some slippers that are big and actually look like Hobbit feet. Plus, I can do Frodo's movie voice well enough for it to sound like him, so there I go, a homeade Frodo costume!

That's a really good idea actually!
Me and my friend are going to the UK premier of The Two Towers so we could dress up for that. On second thought i might not coz I don't really want Orlando looking at me as if i've gone mad!! Well when I go and see it again at the cinema I'll dress up! |

Many years ago, during a misspent youth, I would dress up for the midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (every Friday night for far too long). Don't wear costumes anymore, I'm afraid, not even for Halloween.
But I'd love to see any Mooters in costume for TTT or RoTK!

No.
And No. I think it is silly. Too affectatious.

A moral of the whole (after the primary symbolism of the Ring, as the will to mere power, seeking to make itself objective by physical force and mechanism, and so also inevitably by lies) is the obvious one that without the high and noble the simple and vulgar is utterly mean; and without the simple and ordinary the noble and heroic is meaningless." I've only ever worn a costume to a "special" showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show ........ beleive me the finer points of my costume should not be discussed here
I have as yet no plans to wear a costume for TT, Ent impersonation is just not me...........besides, surely it is an offence to drop your conkers in a public area? |

I wouldn't dress like that for the movie, but for Halloween, I have an Arwen "Flight to the Ford" dress. It will still fit next year, so I will have a cloak then, which will last long. One step at a time.

I made a really cool elven-looking crown this summer, and I might wear it to TTT. It's made of wire and has beads, and it's really pretty.

It would be fun to dress up, but I'm afraid my friends would never ever speak to me again if I went that far. They definately wouldn't go see th movie with me. They already think I'm wierd, crazy obsessed...
I wanted to dress up as an elf for Halloween, but I didn't dress up because my parents say I'm to old to go trick or treating, and I didn't get invited to any parties. Oh well maybe next year!
