The Hussein Family.
Okay, this is a thread that I personally am interested in. I have heard many tales about Udai Hussein, Saddam's son.
Okay- so supply information about the deeds of any Hussein member, and discuss whether they are crazy as hell. Or not *scoff*. My first tid-bit. Udai Hussein Quote:
Note to Mod/Admin: This is not a sorry attempt at another Iraq thread. This is a legitimate interest of mine, personally. Don't shut me down. !

Note to everyone who will post in this thread: This is NOT another Iraq thread. It is not the place for discussion of the possible upcoming war. It is for the discussion of Saddam's family ONLY.

ESPN, actually has done extensive research into Uday Hussein as he is the head of the Iraqi National olympic committee. They ran various stories and interviews with former Iraqi athletes and how Uday tortured and killed athletes amongst other things.
Here is a link to the main page concerning that: http://espn.go.com/oly/bloodontherings.html# Definitely check it out, you see actual Iraqi athletes discussing what they have seen and experienced personally themselves...

In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.' 'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin "Oh. I've heard some of that stuff too. Especially the Olympic bit. Shocking, and depressing, as usual with this family. Power corrupts!

I would think rather that is why the word has come to have a negative connotation.
Q: I think I know the answer to this, but I'm not sure: Could dictator be a term that carried over from Roman terms, or is it just the translation?

Interesting how his family and the Saudi's were whisked out of the US immediately after 9/11. If the US is so bad yet they all seem to love being here, something isn't right in Bagdad.
