Classic video games
Last Christmas I decided to dig up my old NES and SNES games. They're loads of fun... sure, technological advancements have come in leaps and bounds over the past decade or so, but there's just a certain addictive gameplay element in classic video games that feels timeless.
Super Mario Bros. (and sequels) Ice Hockey Rainbow Islands Star Fox EarthBound City Connection Circus Charlie Battle City Super Mario RPG ... and many more... Anyone else love classic games? And yes, I realize that a lot of them are older than the average age on this board.

I love the old Mario games! And as a matter of fact, I do normally prefer older games. Among my favorites are Lords of Magic and Majesty, tho' those are for PC.

Ahh Earthbound. I used to loooove that game! Hey good idea, I think I have a copy somewhere in the attic. I used to play Earthbound, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy 3 and I think Shadowrun...(I cant remember the name) all the time. *sigh* There was one game my brother was obsessed with where your a fish...and you evolve into different creatures with points...fun stuff.

I'm totally in love with EarthBound, but I don't think I can bring myself to play it another time through just yet, because last time I did that, I had a lot of 4am mornings where I'd just play and play and play.
Super Mario RPG didn't hit me quite as hard, but was on the right track.

All the Mario games were the best. I also spent a good bit of time with Super Contra. It was awesome playing with my dad and both of us being on the same side.

Hmm well do computer video games count?
Anyone remember: Original Duke Nukem 1, 2 , and 3. fighting dr. proton Cosmo and sequels Secret Agent Man! (at least thats what I think it was called). Commander Keen and sequels Jill of the Jungle Monster Bash I had many more - but can't remember them now. Of course none of them really work now (stupid DOS). Most of this were made by Epic Games and Apogee (now 3Drealms). I never had a game system. My mom was weird that way.....still won't let us have a game system. I do remember playing other's NES, SNES, SEGA GENSIS, N64s. I always had fun playing this at ppl's homes. I finally convinced her to let me get a gameboy - and I got a gameboy color when they first came out (now i have a GBA). I like old GB games - very fun. They keep coming out with remakes of old NES and SNES games for gameboy - very fun . my fav old games: Donkey Kong Super Mario Brothers (plus sequels - i have this for gameboy and i have fond memories of playing it at friend's houses - VERY fun game. I'm very good at it). All other Mario Games, mario lands, etc. Donkey Kong Country Mario Kart ( this was fun for SNES - but Mario Kart 64 was even better). For sega - all i remember is some Tiny Tunes game that was fun and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG. Very fun game. I don't remember in great detail all the arcade games...but I loved the Simpsons one, if anyone knows what I am refering to. I can't recall too many other video games that I really liked. I regret not buying more classic gameboy games - they don't sell them anymore and stores used to up until a couple of years ago. Now they have crappy GBC selections and the new games. I've gotten too old to buy new games....but I still pick up my gameboy and play my old games (gameboy color games count as old too...obsolete). And theres the SNES EMULATOR. Haven't used that in years though.

Yeah, I used to stay up half the night totally involved in EarthBound or FF3. I still love those games, they definately stand the test of time.

Maniac Mansion was great, but the sequel was one of the best adventure games of all time...

Last time I went home for a break, I spent a ridiculous amount of time playing the original Super Mario Bros.
It has what is arguably the catchiest musical score in video gaming history, too.
