Excuse the (possibly) stupid question, but what has microsoft got to do with Age of Empires?

I think it will be a good game (loved the predecessors) but there are too many other games I want around to spend my money on this one before I'ver ead a few reviews.

Yeah. Think I agree with Falagar here. AoE 2 is probably the most played game in my life, but right now I'm so hooked up with World of Warcraft, so I don't know if I will get it.

The first and second AOE were amazing - me and my friends used to play LAN games of it for hours. The few spin offs were ok but there are so many games that have copied it now. You can look on the game shelfs and find replicas of AOE with Star Wars, Lotr and various other merchandising-boosters slapped on the cover.

I want to expect alot from this game, but I cant see it being much different from the previous two. I didnt really play the storyline on the previous two - just online. But maybe I'm wrong, it might have more to offer.

Dont tell me what I cannot do

Two men are on a Island, they both see a "monster", one sees a bright light, and the other sees a dark cloud

My name bares no reference to the music artist.

Maybe so, but AOE was the game that put RTSs on the map.

I don't know about that but it's the best remembered and a very popular game.

My review based on the demo:
I realy like it! I like the demo and the full game must be better...
But if you didn't like the other AOE games you probubly won't like this.
My biggest gripe is that in the demo you can only do 2 senarios and can only get a level 9 home city ...

And that's it, I'm not an expert but I give it (4 1/2 smileys)
