Moria and the Misty Mountains
I learned a lot about 'LotR' from the books, the Playstation 2 video games (the recent ones:1 & 2), [EDITED] (the tolkien fanatics site), people from this website, and from my friend (who may be joining this website soon). What I never figured out is if Moria is part of the Misty Mountains. Is it?

Yes, it was under the Misty Mountains. If you reference to the maps in the LOTR books or posters, I believe you can see "Moria", "West Wall of moria" or something of that effect south of Rivendell. This is unless my memory decieves me.

Appearently, from the LOTR and the Hobbit, there were mines and tunnels throughout the entire Misty mountains, all the way north to gundabad.

Tabby
if you can describe the characteristics of the site you remember, I might be able to search it for you. Content, not wrapping.
